# Invite Your Customers to the Vynta Self-Service Portal

> Control which customers can log in to the self-service portal — enable access, send invites, and revoke permissions from the customer record.

Portal access is optional — you choose which customers get a self-service login. This gives you control over which clients can view their jobs, invoices, and service history online.

## Enabling Portal Access

    Go to **Customers** and select the customer.

    The portal access panel opens.

  <Step title="Send the invitation">
    Vynta sends an email with a link to set up their account.

    They click the link, create a password, and log in.

## What the Customer Gets

Once activated, the customer can:

* View all their work orders (past and present)
* Check job status and technician assigned
* See completion notes and photos
* View and pay invoices
* Submit new service requests
* View equipment at their site

## Revoking Access

If you need to remove a customer's portal access:

1. Open the customer record
2. Click **Portal Access**
3. Click **Revoke Access**
4. Confirm

The customer can no longer log in. Their existing data is retained.

## Bulk Portal Invitations

Need to enable portal access for many customers at once?

1. Go to **Customers** > **Portal Access**
2. Select multiple customers
3. Click **Send Invitations**
4. Vynta sends individual invitation emails to each customer

## What Customers Cannot See

The portal is carefully scoped:

* No other customers' data
* No internal notes or staff communications
* No parts costs or profit margins
* No technician schedules for other customers

    Yes. Go to **Settings** > **Portal** > **Email Templates** to customise the invitation message.

  <Accordion title="What if a customer doesn't activate their account?">
    They still receive email notifications about job updates. The portal is optional — they can continue calling your office if they prefer.

  <Accordion title="Can a customer have multiple users?">
    Not yet. Each customer record gets one portal login. For multiple users, create separate customer records.
