Every job in Vynta is linked to a customer. Customer records are the single source of truth for who you serve, where you serve them, and what you’ve done for them.

What’s in a Customer Record

Adding Customers

1

Go to Customers

Click Customers in the sidebar.
2

Click Add Customer

Fill in the required fields: name, contact person, email, and at least one service address.
3

Save

The customer is now available for job creation.

Importing Customers

Have a spreadsheet of customers? Import them:
  1. Go to Customers > Import
  2. Download the CSV template
  3. Fill in the template with your customer data
  4. Upload the file
  5. Map the columns and confirm
Vynta imports all customers and creates their records automatically.

Customer Portal Access

You can invite customers to the self-service portal directly from their record:
  1. Open the customer record
  2. Click Enable Portal Access
  3. Vynta sends an invitation email
  4. The customer sets up their account and can log in
Portal access is optional — you choose which customers get it. See Portal Access for details.

Viewing Job History

Open any customer record to see their complete job history:
  • All past work orders
  • Current active jobs
  • Scheduled future jobs
  • Total revenue from this customer
  • Average job value

Multiple Service Addresses

Many customers have multiple sites. Add all their service addresses to their record, then specify which address each work order is for.
