Assigning Jobs

See unassigned jobs
The left panel lists all jobs without an assigned technician.

Check availability
The right panel shows which technicians are free. Green means available, orange means partially booked.

Drag to assign
Drag a job from the unassigned list onto a technician’s name. Or click a job and select a technician from the dropdown.
Real-Time Status
The Dispatch Board updates in real time:- Technician clocks in — their status changes to “On shift”
- Job started — the job moves from “Scheduled” to “In progress”
- Job completed — the job moves to “Completed” and the technician becomes available
Emergency Jobs
For urgent or emergency jobs:- Create the job with Emergency priority
- It appears at the top of the unassigned list with a red indicator
- The nearest available technician is highlighted
- Assign and dispatch immediately

What if no technicians are available?
The Dispatch Board shows a warning. You can reschedule the job, assign it to a technician who’s already booked (with a conflict warning), or bring in on-call staff.

The Dispatch Board is optimised for desktop. For mobile dispatch, use the schedule board.
