How Timesheets Work
At the end of each day (or week, depending on your settings), Vynta compiles all clock in/out entries into timesheets:- Regular hours — time within the standard shift window
- Overtime hours — time outside standard hours
- Break time — deducted from total shift duration
- Discrepancies — entries that don’t match expected patterns
Reviewing Timesheets
Go to Timesheets in the sidebar to see:Approving Timesheets
1
Review flagged entries
Click on any flagged timesheet to see why it was flagged — late clock in, missing clock out, overtime, or location mismatch.
2
Approve or correct
Approve the entry as-is, or click Edit to adjust the times. Corrections require a note explaining the change.
3
Bulk approve
Select multiple timesheets and click Approve Selected to process them all at once.
Exporting for Payroll
Once timesheets are approved, export them:- Select the date range
- Click Export and choose your format (CSV or PDF)
- Import the file into your payroll system
Discrepancy Detection
Vynta automatically flags timesheets that show:- Missing clock out — technician forgot to clock out
- Late arrival — clocked in after the shift start time
- Early departure — clocked out before the shift end time
- Overtime — worked beyond standard hours
- Location mismatch — clocked in from an unexpected location
- Double booking — two overlapping clock in entries
